lower picture to give an idea of scale, but the flash washed it out, as flashes are prone to do. i seem to be painting my little behind off these days. and actually FINISHING pictures! i wonder what's come over me? and! the original has been sold to the rather wonderful *Ravenari - check out her artwork, it's beautiful stuff. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Could I ask you a question? How do you get the top picture to turn out so well? All of my traditional works look like hell when I try to scan them... then again most of them are too big for the scanner.

what i do is sit down in photoshop with the original next to me, and tweak levels and curves and contrast and so forth until they start to look the same. total pain in the behind, but until i DO get a reallllly nice scanner......
